ANHS ANNOUNCES INITIAL US$100,000 COMMITMENT FOR NEPAL FLOOD RELIEF

The America Nepal Helping Society (ANHS) has announced an initial commitment
of US$100,000 toward charitable relief following the 26 August 2026 Bhote
Koshi flash flood. ANHS is inviting individuals, businesses, foundations, and
organizations to support verified relief activities for affected communities.

THE DISASTER

The sudden flash flood affected communities along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli
river systems, including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and Gorkha. Government
agencies and humanitarian organizations continue to assess casualties, damage,
and urgent needs. Reported figures may change as information is verified.

The Government of Nepal has issued an appeal for support through the Prime
Minister's disaster-relief funds. ANHS will determine the appropriate recipient
or qualified relief partner after due diligence and consistent with applicable
US and Nepalese requirements. This campaign is organized by ANHS and does not
represent an endorsement by the Government of Nepal or any US government
agency.

RELIEF PRIORITIES

Contributions may support emergency shelter, food, safe water and sanitation,
health services, protection, transport and logistics, and early recovery,
subject to verified needs, applicable restrictions, and the availability of
qualified recipients. Contributions are pooled and do not guarantee a
specific item, service, or beneficiary.

ADMINISTRATION AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Donations are made to ANHS, a US 501(c)(3) organization, rather than directly
to a foreign government. ANHS retains control and discretion over donated
funds and will use them for charitable purposes consistent with this appeal
and applicable law.

ANHS will publish current campaign totals, incident figures with their sources
and reporting times, and verified disbursement information including the
recipient, date, amount, and purpose.

501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Northern Virginia and serving the Nepali-American
community across Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland. ANHS raises funds for
