America Nepal Helping Society

America Nepal Helping Society (ANHS), अमेरिका नेपाल सहयोगी समाज, is a registered US 501(c)(3) nonprofit based primarily in Northern Virginia and serving the Nepali-American community across the Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland region.

ANHS’s official website says the organization was established on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2008. Its work centers on preserving Nepali language, customs, traditions, and celebrations while providing charitable and community support in the United States and Nepal.

What ANHS does

Programs rooted in belonging and service.

Language & education

ANHS Academy has operated since 2016, teaching Nepali reading, writing, speaking, and cultural knowledge to children. The current program serves children ages 5–14 through weekly online classes.

Culture & community

ANHS organizes cultural and religious programs including Teej, Deusi/Bhailo, community picnics, and activities designed to preserve heritage and strengthen community ties.

Relief & philanthropy

The organization raises funds for natural disasters and supports community members facing critical illness or other serious needs. Its official archive documents earthquake-relief fundraising and direct support in 2015.
