ANHS commits US $100,000 to Nepal flood relief

The America Nepal Helping Society has committed US $100,000 to the Government of Nepal's Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund and is calling on Nepali communities across the United States and worldwide to join the response.

ANHS expresses its deepest sorrow over the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal, which have caused significant loss of life, destruction and hardship for many families. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones, and we pray for the speedy recovery and safety of everyone affected by this tragic disaster.

ANHS has always believed that when Nepal is in need, we must stand together and take action. During the devastating 2015 Nepal earthquake, ANHS responded immediately by mobilizing support and sending our own team to Nepal to provide direct assistance to affected communities. That experience strengthened our commitment to stand with Nepal during times of crisis.

Today, once again, Nepal needs our help.

Immediate commitment

US $100,000

Committed immediately to the Government of Nepal's Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. This represents ANHS's initial contribution toward helping families facing unimaginable hardship following this disaster.

An appeal

As Madhu Panthi, Former Chief Patron and current Fundraising Coordinator of ANHS, I sincerely appeal to Nepali communities across the United States and around the world, as well as to friends, organizations, businesses and supporters of Nepal:

Please come together. Please give what you can. Please help save lives and rebuild hope.

No contribution is too small. For one family, your donation may provide food. For another, it may provide medicine. For another, it may provide temporary shelter. And for someone who has lost everything, your support may simply remind them that they are not alone.

Our commitment

ANHS will work to support and coordinate with the Government of Nepal, local authorities, relief organizations, medical professionals, volunteers and other responsible agencies to ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most. Our goal is not only to respond to the immediate emergency, but also to support the longer-term recovery and rebuilding of affected communities.

In 2015, we stood with Nepal.Today, we stand with Nepal again.

This is more than a fundraising campaign. It is a commitment to our people, our homeland and our shared humanity. Let us show the people of Nepal that their community abroad has not forgotten them.

Together, we can bring relief. Together, we can restore hope. Together, we can help Nepal rise again. 🇳🇵
